Human Resource Generalist (Maternity Cover Contract)

Wholesale telecommunications is not about networks or technology – it’s about people. We have built a business and a team that, we believe, is the best. We are now looking for a Human Resource Generalist to cover a maternity leave contract on a part time basis. This is a stand-alone role reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. The position will be based in Limerick with some travel to our Dublin site.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support on all aspects of HR while managing daily activity i.e. working relations, grievances, disciplinary, performance management, training needs, compensation and benefits, communication, personal issues and legislation etc.
  • Implement improvements to HR procedures to ensure alignment with legislation.
  • Support the communication process between management and employees.
  • Handle employee matters consistently in line with company policies sensitively and confidentially.
  • Drive Culture Club forums, proactively managing actions to support and address issues.
  • Ensure all personnel, training and pension records are maintained/auditable at all times.
  • Roll out of employee opinion survey and culture audit to improve working environment.
  • Other tasks as required.

 

Key Required Competencies

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a HR generalist role with a strong emphasis on working relations.
  • 3rd level qualification in relevant discipline required, e.g. HR practices & development or related field. CIPD or IITD qualification.
  • An in-depth knowledge of HR processes, systems and personnel.
  • Professional and approachable individual with a strong interpersonal skills to support, advise, guide and influence others.
  • Solid analytical skills, sound judgement & ethics to develop logical solutions/scenarios.
  • Experience of dealing with issues quickly.
  • Self motivated and enthusiastic individual who can work on own initiative and in teams.
  • High level of organisational & time management skill with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and listening skill and both written and spoken English. Good telephone manner and ability to express ideas in clear and concise manner.
